A new bespoke narrowboat build

This blog is going to be about the design, construction and fitting out of a brand new 60' narrowboat - to be named Calbourne. I'm hoping to produce a complete account of the whole construction and fit-out process.

At the time of starting this blog (March 2018), all that exists is quite a lot of lines on pieces of paper and several spreadsheets, showing the numerous component parts.

The build 'proper' is due to start in May and the target date for completion of the steelwork is end of June.

So hopefully, beyond that point, there will be a lot more information to share about the fitting out process. Below are some photos taken during a visit to XR&D... trying to decide style of boat!
